installed all of the controls in buildings 15, 16, 18, 19,
20, and Gateway 5 at the Sun MicroSystems Campus in Newark,
CA.
This is an ALC system with over 1, 100 zones in a
multi-building campus environment. Sunbelt worked closely
with ACCO controls to coordinate the installation and
commissioning of the control systems in these buildings.
Buildings 15 and 16 were built concurrently while
buildings 18, 19, and 20 were concurrently built at a
later date. The buildings included R & D, manufacturing
support, and administrative offices. The HVAC systems
included roof top units and chilled water systems,
including chilled water monitoring for the labs and boiler
systems as well as the zone work. All of the air handling
units had built in chillers, so there was no campus
chilled water piping required; however, there was an
extensive condenser water system serving the computer
room units in the labs.
The work as completed on time, on budget, and without
incident.
