This 82,000 sq. ft. 2-story lab/office
building has mechanical rooms on
both floors on the ends of the building.
Eight 13,000 CFM air handlers
and eight 13,000 CFM exhaust fans
serve the space using Phoenix
control valves for both the supply
and exhaust systems. A separate
carbon-filtration exhaust system is
used for the Radio Isotope hood.
There are approximately 40 hoods
in this facility.
Hot water reheat coils provide
exterior zone heating, served from
three hot water boilers and a primary/
secondary heating hot water pumping
system. Chilled water is provided from
two 360-Ton centrifugal chillers with a
primary only pumping system. There are
remote cooling towers with sand filtration.
The building also has a greenhouse
with separate custom air handlers and a
separate 24-hour chilled water fan coil/
computer room unit system for the three
computer rooms. There is a complete
DDC control and lab integration system.
