| Extended CareHospitalsMedical Office Buildings | Kaiser Antioch CUP & MOB Project Background
This project consisted of the construction of a new greenfield
medical campus for Kaiser Permanente at the Antioch location.
The new structures included a central utilities plant, a new 350,000
sq. ft. hospital and a new 235,000 sq. ft. MOB facility.
Project Requirements
This project was a part of the Kaiser Template Program. The owner
needed a facility delivered on time, and on budget. Both of which ACCO
delivered. There was a special environmental requirement concerning the
burrowing owl that affected the way material was stored on site.
What ACCO Delivered
ACCO delivered the HVAC scope in the Central Plant which included
2,400 tons of cooling, 30,000 MBH of heating capacity, 14,000 MBH of
steam capacity and a small data center. The location of the CUP required
a 1000 ft. utility trench that required vault structures as well as
significant excavation and backfill work. ACCO also delivered the
HVAC and Plumbing scope for the 235,000 sq. ft. Medical Office Building.
The MOB included 4 operating rooms. |
