Renown Health is the region’s largest healthcare network, and this project is part of Renown’s larger facilities enhancement project. This expansion houses a state-of-the-art specialty care center and was completed in 2024, enhancing the range of services available at their south Reno campus.

PROJECT SUMMARY
At three floors and roughly 120,000 square feet, this specialty care center is served by seven (7) large rooftop air handlers and an environmentally conscious all-electric VAV reheat system. The care center contains multiple kitchens, operating rooms, and state-of-the-art labs. It also utilizes a high-pressure steam boiler system to provide humidification and serve steam-utilizing equipment in the sterile processing department, including sterilizers and cage washers.
This phase of the project included a core and shell build with tenant improvements on the first and second floors, including more than 250,000lbs of sheet metal and 7,000LF of pipe. ACCO provided full BIM services to coordinate the limited overhead MEP space throughout the facility.
The accelerated schedule required close coordination across ACCO’s Northern region. With support from ACCO’s shops in Sparks, Sacramento, and San Leandro, the team successfully met the customer’s deadlines. This level of regional collaboration demonstrates ACCO’s ability to operate as one unified team. This is becoming more necessary as project schedules continue to shorten every year.
