We are pleased to announce that the United States Courthouse in Los Angeles has been recognized by the 2017 Design-Build Project/Team Awards with a National Award of Merit in the Federal/State/County/Municipal category. The 2017 Design-Build Project/Team Awards showcases design-build best practices and celebrates the achievements of owners and design-build teams in ten categories across the spectrum of horizontal and vertical construction.
ACCO’s established engineering capabilities, plus our broad courthouse construction knowledge, were decisive elements in us being selected as the design-assist contractor role alongside SOM, project architect, Syska Hennessy, mechanical engineer, and Clark Construction, general contractor, in the building of the new venue. It was a pleasure collaborating with these great companies on a project that required extremely unique and complex mechanical design and fabrication.
