ACCO completed the HVAC for Jamison Properties’ 23-story, 1.2M sf residential tower. The development features 644 apartment units above a podium structure with 1,100 parking stalls lined by 15,600 sf of ground floor commercial space. A closed circuit cooling tower plant is located on the roof with pumps and boilers. All pumps are provided with VFDs and modulate based on demand.
PROJECT FEATURES
- Design Build HVAC
- BIM coordination
- Just-in-time delivery and pull planning
PROJECT SUMMARY
ACCO was awarded the preconstruction HVAC design & BIM services with Wilshire Construction after the 50% DD phase. ACCO provided value engineering efforts to maintain the construction budget during the design phase and awarded the HVAC trade construction contract with 2900 Wilshire LLC and AECOM Hunt. The residential tower units are served by a two-pipe condenser water loop with water source heat pump (WSHP) units. All public areas are served by a combination of WSHP units or split system unit heat pumps. Building Management System (BMS) is used for control and monitoring of the HVAC systems. ACCO utilized a combination of horizontal and vertical water source heat pump units to optimize the ceiling height in the apartment units and provided efficiency in the construction installation.
