PROJECT SUMMARY
ACCO was contracted as the design assist mechanical contractor for these two (2) 300,000 square foot data centers. To support the fast-paced schedule ACCO was engaged at the SD phase to complete design documents and integrate prefabrication opportunities into the program. Over approximately 30 months, by making extensive use of prefabrication and partnership with the local labor unions, ACCO installed HVAC, plumbing and process systems totaling over 600,000 manhours.
All piping was fabricated at ACCO’s California shops and shipped to the jobsite. This accounted for over 80% of weld inches on the project.
Fuel oil piping was installed for 44 generators from tanks sized for 24 hours of operation.
This data center features 120 MW capacity with over 10,000 tons of cooling required.
